Dear Badger Basements, In 2008, we had a Badger Basement perimeter drainage system and sump pump installed in our basement (which had flooded 5 times in one season, ruining our finished basement). Since that time, we have had no trouble with flooding or any water in the basement. We finally re-finished our basement, which cost a good amount of money, this Summer in early Summer 2010 - after a full year with Badger Basement Systems, we finally "trusted" that the basement would remain dry, thus protecting our investment! We just got back from a week-long vacation to the east coast, during which Madison/Dane County experienced record-setting rainfall and flooding. I have to admit that we worried about our basement while we were gone, imaging the worst when hearing the news about the flooding. However, when we returned to our home, we were thrilled to find that our basement was dry and in tact! It was a sight for sore eyes. Nick, our service technician, had completed a routine service visit to our home the day before we left for our vacation. We were very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness. It eased our worries to know that he had reviewed the system and found it in good working order. Thank you SO MUCH for your basement drainage system. Bill Hammer came on 2-10-14 and did a very complete check on my sump pump system.  As he was leaving the basement, he noticed water running out of the water heater.  He immediately got a pail out to catch the water.  He turned off the water to the unit and found the pressure relief valve was worn out.  If he had not been here, I don't know what I would have done.  Also, before this water heater episode, I had asked him to bring in a 40lb bag of salt from my car which is gladly did for me.  Bill Hammer is to be commended for his knowledge and helpfulness.
