We did quite a bit of work for these Monona, WI homeowners.  One job in particular was the Finished Basement Ceiling.  Our finished ceiling comes with a 30 year warranty against sagging and mold.  We offer two different textures to give your basement a sophisticated, finished look.

Unlike other basement ceiling tiles, ours are designed to withstand humidity and moisture.  They will not sag, droop or stain like you sometimes get with other tiles that are not made of inorganic mineral wool but rather of cellulose which is recycled newspaper.

Here at Badger Basement Systems, we have been proudly serving Wisconsin for over 40 years. We have been the company you can trust since we first opened our doors in 1975. Safety and peace of mind is a priority for any home, which is why we make it a priority when we come into yours.

Foundation issues can become a real problem if left untreated in the home. The most common symptoms include bowing walls, cracked floors, sagging floors, and cracks in the walls. These can be caused by a variety of things including poor, wet soil, Although it may seem daunting to approach foundation repairs, the solutions are actually quite accessible. Using products proven and tested to work like wall anchors, jack posts, and PolyLevel Concrete Leveling System, Badger Basement Systems can tackle the problem and find a solution that will work for you.

Common warning signs of foundation problems:

  • Uneven or sloping floors
  • Cracks in the floor
  • Cracks in interior wall
  • Inward bowing walls
  • Sagging floors over a crawl space
  • Hard to open windows and doors
  • Tilting chimneys
  • Street creep
  • Cracks in exterior wall

Reliable basement repairs and waterproofing

In addition to our foundation repairs, we also offer solutions to wet basement problems. Having a basement that suffers from dampness or mold can be a real issue for your home and even cause problems with the foundations. A musty smell, dampness, or sagging in the floors are the main indicators that your basement is in need of repair. If left unchecked, small basement repair problems can turn into issues that will compromise the structural integrity of your foundations and, by extension, your home.

Your best line of defense against flooding and dampness, as well as foundation problems, in your home is a sump pump, as well as drainage systems, insulated walls, downspouts, and other products that will make sure tat your basement is safe and dry. The TripleSafe sump pump has a backup battery as well as a secondary pump to ensure that your basement will always have a secondary defense against water damage. To get started, call today for a FREE estimate!

Madison, WI expert crawl space repairs

Though quite different from basements, crawl spaces suffer from many of the same issues. Crawl spaces uniquely suffer the risk of animal infestation and collection of debris because of their location and function in a house, not to mention flooding and mold. There are a few warning signs to look for when assessing damage to your crawl space, but the major ones are:

  • Sagging floors
  • Condensation
  • Mold
  • Wood rot
  • Foundation cracks

Some of the best ways that Badger Basement Systems works to combat dampness, flooding, and mold in crawl spaces is a vapor barrier system, energy efficient dehumidifiers, and thermal insulation. These quality, tested products turn moldy, damp crawl spaces into clean, dry, energy-efficient areas.

Water coming into basement during heavy rains Additional information: Preferred Method of Contact:: Phone

We bought a house that was built in 1929 near Demetral Park last year. The basement foundation has large cracks - though no signs of significant bowing of the walls. We frequently have water in the basement - one corner in particular. There is no sump pump. We have tried mitigating the water by grading the soil on the bad corner with limited success. We have a dehumidifier running non-stop in non frozen months, and have to empty the water tank every day. We are looking for some solutions to help keep the basement dry. There is a foundation crack (at my mothers house) that water is coming in. There is evidence of effervescence along the crack and baseboard which shows this has been going on for a while. Crack starts at window well all the way to the floor. Standard 8 ft ceilings. Crack does not appear to be wide - more like a hairline crack, and wall appears to be flush, no shifting, on either side of crack. Happy to forward photos if needed. Call or email to discuss. Thank you for your time. Additional information: Preferred Method of Contact:: Phone

We want to finish part of our basement and need a solution to keep the basement dry. There is an area in the basement that gets some water that trickles in, so the solution to keep it dry may be repairing the foundation and/or a water pump system that ensures water gets pumped out. I have a cement porch with a couple of sidewalk concrete blocks in front of it. The block closest to the steps is sinking at an angle and causes water and dirt to pool. I tried to level it with a concrete mix but I think it's a bigger job than I have time for. I also have 2 sidewalk paths. The one leading to the driveway is a rock path and I'm not a big fan of it because grass grows between the stones and when I pull it out it removes the dirt and leaves big holes. I also tried to repair this but not so successful. The other one leads to the street. I'd like a quote on the front cement block and the path to the driveway. I'd like a separate quote including the path to the street. I'm not super concerned about this one but if the price is good I will consider it as well. Thank you, Becky Additional information: Preferred Method of Contact:: Email

Whenever it rains, we have consistent water in the basement. We also recently noticed that when we turn the hose on, water leaks in the basement as well. We are interested in looking at our options - sump pumps, french drains, etc so we can eventually turn our unfinished basement into a useable, livable space. Thank you!
