I moved into a new home, that it seems the foundation seems to be a problem in a lot of the neighborhood. I had a structural engineer come look at it and there are a few cracks that he recommends someone fix it, and I would like an opinion on how detrimental this is.

We discovered a vertical crack in our basement wall. As of right now it is not leaking any water, but we would like to get an estimate on what it would take to fix it to prevent any future issues.
